BLACK DIASPORA and GERMANY
Welcome to the website of the interdisciplinary Young Scholars Network BLACK DIASPORA AND GERMANY.
Funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) since summer 2010, our network brings together young scholars based in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States interested in the study of the Black Diaspora in Germany. From the perspectives of Black German, African American, African Diaspora, and Critical Whiteness Studies, we are developing new theoretical frameworks as well as contributing fresh empirical studies on the history and present of the Black Diaspora in Germany.
